Hawthorn Medical Practice

Burgh Le Marsh Surgery

Named Accountable GP

In accordance with the General Medical Services contract, all patients who were on the practice list prior to 1st April 2015 have been given a named accountable GP.

Newly registered patients are allocated a named GP at the point of registration.

If you would like to know, or to be reminded of your named GP, please ask at reception when you are next in the surgery.

Having a named GP does not prevent you from seeing any other doctor in the practice. Your named GP will not be available at all times and if your needs are urgent you may need to be seen by any available doctor or Nurse Practitioner.

If you are 75 or over you will have received a letter informing you of your named GP. You are also entitled to see a nurse every year for a health check.
